This is the first workshop which will be hosted primarily by the joint collaboration of the Institute for Fundamental Study (IF, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand), and the Yukawa Institute of Theoretical Physics (YITP, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan). This conference has been organized also as a consequence of having signed a Memory of Understanding between these two institutes.
It will take place on December 25, 2012 (meeting will start in the afternoon) and end on December 27 (in the afternoon). The location has been chosen to be the hotel “Dusit Thani” in Pattaya, Thailand.
We want this meeting to be a meeting where people from south-east Asia can meet and exchange ideas. This should pave the road for broader collaboration links among different countries.
There will be no conference fee. Standard room costs 5500THB (shared by two people, in general).
Tentative schedule: the conference will start with a discussion-day (on December 24th) during which people, after meeting, can discuss and consequently start working on new projects. On December 25th, first official day of the workshop, the morning will be devoted on discussion (in the meantime all the invited people are supposed to join the workshop by lunch), whereas in the afternoon seminars/talks will start. December 26th will be devoted on seminars (morning/afternoon). On December 27th, the morning will be devoted to the remaining talks. The official talk-workshop will end after lunch. Nonetheless, in the afternoon, another discussion-session will start, which will continue for the following day (December 28th). This will allow participants to outline future research and/or focus on new projects.
Funding research grants: the workshop will be sponsored by the JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A) No. 21244033, and, from the Thai side, by NARIT.
